Coach Corey joins the line up
Former Nottingham Panthers coach and player Corey Neilson will return to play in this month’s Lachowicz Invitational.
Neilson, who led Panthers to a glittering array of trophies including the Grand Slam in 2012-13, now coaches in Germany.
His famous #77 shirt was retired by the Panthers and he will put the skates again to take part in the special four-team tournament.
Lachowicz said: “I have a lot to thank Corey for throughout my career and I am thrilled he is coming back.
“He led this club to so much success and it is brilliant that he will be back on the ice and taking part in the tournament.”
Neilson said: “I have always looked at and treated Lacho as I would one of my sons. He was a fantastic kid who’s really blossomed into a fine young man. He’s a credit to his parents and a great ambassador of Nottingham hockey.
“I’m very excited to participate and catch up with some of the stars he has lined up. I’m sure it will be a huge success.”
